I’ll admit it. I’ve been spending a fair bit of time this Christmas break lounging with the boy and watching a few of his favorite movies instead of getting out in the cold. He’s pretty taken with the first Pirates of the Caribbean flick, and it’s fun to hear him do his Captain Jack impression.
But whenever I hear Johnny Depp say those lines above, I can’t help but think of a kayak. It’s no Black Pearl, to be sure, but the freedom that I’ve found in a sea kayak is the same freedom. No roads, no trails, no limits.
