The Longest day
The water is so calm this morning, and the day so promising, I just can’t stay in bed. I’ll be tired this afternoon but it will be a good tired.
It’s the solstice today, which is hard to fathom since it doesn’t seem like summer has really arrived yet. It doesn’t seem fair at all that the days are going to get shorter already. I know we have to play the cards we’re dealt but it seems like it’s been a while since we’ve seen an ace. And how many jokers are in this deck anyway?
It looks like a good one today, though, and I don’t want to miss any of it.
