June

Around these parts, you’ll hear people say that summer starts on the 5th of July. It feels that way this morning.

I’m finishing up the Point Defiance trails guide, thinking about the packing I still have to do for the trip and wondering if the rain will hold off long enough for us to get our game in this morning. I’m coaching T-ball this year, which is a lot like herding cats (except not as organized), but much more fun. It’s just that I don’t want to be the one who has to tell the Ninjas that they don’t have a game today. So I hope the weather holds, until about 10:30 anyway.
I won’t be getting out on the water today. Tomorrow though, always tomorrow…
