Get ’em while they’re hot

I’m going down to the Grand Cinema to do a walk-through this morning, just get a look at the theater we’ll be using to debut the Ikkatsu documentary on November 14th. It should be a very good time, and I am looking forward to it (even though there’s still a lot to be done.)
I’ve gotten a pile of emails this past week from people who are excited to come out for the show, but have yet to buy a ticket. So, just so we are totally transparent on this, let me run through the way it works:
– There are 75 tickets available.
– The first 75 people who actually buy a ticket will be the ones who get in to see the show. (Even if you know somebody, if you are a great human being, whatever… you’ll need a ticket to get in. Really.)
– There is a possibility, if the first showtime sells out, that we will add another show. If that were to happen – and it is a long way from happening at this point – it would probably be a 9:30 curtain. If babysitter realities and school-night considerations are factors in your decision, maybe the first show would better fit your schedule. (Even if it ends up that there is a second show to choose from, which, as has been previously mentioned, is far from certain.)
– Tickets are $7.50 in advance, and include a raffle ticket for the Pacific Coast Light original by Todd Fischer (a benefit for Surfrider Foundation chapters in western Washington.)
– You can order tickets by calling (253)691-7941. Operators are standing by. Tickets can be mailed to you or held at Will Call.
What I’m saying is, you know you want to go, so get your ticket today. The ticket pile is shrinking and the opportunity may not be there later. I am looking forward to seeing you.
