Nurdles

Nurdles are little pieces of plastic, tiny polymer pellets that are the building blocks of all things polyethylene. Prior to World War II, there really wasn’t much plastic out there, just the durable bakelite found in telephones and radios, no disposable plastic packaging at all. Things have changed since then. 
These days, there are more than 250 billion pounds of nurdles manufactured every year.
